While I was looking at school websites and teacher pages, I found Astoria Park Elementary School. A lot of teacher websites have about the same information. Most of it is simple "Looking forward to this school year!" introductions. Almost all of these websites do have either a students resource page, any material needed, important documents, or even an assignments tab, making the pages easy to look through and find any need information. Also a lot of the pages have cute pictures on the welcome tabs, so they definitely grab your attention.
I think I am going to use technology a lot to make my professional responsibilities more efficient. I will definitely be using websites like Word, PowerPoint, Google Classroom, and Trello. Through all of these websites, I will be able to communicate with my students and peers more effectively. I will also be able to share more information about class and what is going to be able to make everything run smoother.
I most likely will not use a wiki for my future classroom. Working on the project was pretty easy. After looking over the website, I could tell where most of the tools where and how to navigate everything. Even though using wiki wasn't hard, I do not think I will use this website because I am not too sure when I'll need to. I was thinking to think of ways I could use it for a future classroom and honestly I'm just not too sure.
Hi Danyel! I found the same thing when looking at school websites and teachers' pages. Most included important documents and any material needed. I think that these webpages are great for students and parents to have information accessible via the internet.
ReplyDeleteHi Danyel'! I think the websites you talk about, such as Word, Trello, and Google Classroom, are all great applications to bring into the classroom one day. They are all pretty simple to use, yet effective platforms. I think PBWorks looks confusing because it is outdated, but working as a group helped a ton. Great job!
